Join me for a “Walkabout” in Haliburton Village

24 Sep

Who else thought that Sunday was the perfect day to be outside walking around?  I know those that participated in the Hike Haliburton Fesitval did.  I wasn’t lucky enough to be able to join them this year so I created my own walking tour of Haliburton Village with my best walking partner, my dog.

Please join us as we take a look at some of the places we stopped at on our tour.

The first 5 photos are from the same area, located at the Haliburton Highlands Secondary Schools are; the view of Head Lake, an RCAF plane, a locomotive, the leaves changing colour and the brand new digital events board.

The next photos show the ATV trail, my favourite red tree and the view from the southern point of Head Lake looking towards town.

The last photos are all of the Head Lake trail which runs along Head Lake and beside County Rd 21.  This path gets used all the time for people who are out walking their dog, or jogging or biking.  You can see it has some lovely benches to rest upon to take in the view of the lake.

These are some of my favourite places in town.  Enjoy!.
